Room Divider

Folding screens or room dividers are used in feng shui to guide the flow of chi or to protect or shield particular areas.

A room divider needs to be adjusted to each specific situation. If a great deal of protection is needed, the material has to be strong (for instance, wood). The divider is always placed at right angles to the negative energy flow or to the sha arrow.

A room divider is also a wonderful way to separate a desk and workspace within a bedroom, or to create a quiet, secluded zone in a living room.

Applications:

• To break a straight energy flow from the entrance to the back door
• To shield a sleeping area from a door in a small room, such as a child's room
• To divide living areas from sleeping areas.
