Lighting Feng Shui
Many Feng Shui consultants use Lighting Feng Shui to enhance the Chi energy. In feng shui, bright warm light brings a huge dose of precious Yang energy.

Dark rooms inhibit the flow of chi and cause depression and discomfort. Light is important for attracting beneficial chi to a room. If the right lamps are chosen, the same dark rooms can come to life and fill with energy. However, there is such a thing as too much light in a room - remember, we always strive to attain balance in Feng Shui. A room flooded with too much sunlight can be hot and uncomfortable. With different sources of lighting-like wall and floor lamps, spots or indirect lights - it is possible to create very specific effects, according to the use of the room. It is important that lamps and lights are placed so that people in the room are not bothered by the glare. A good Feng Shui application would be to illuminate entrance areas, doors, and the path leading up to the home. This increases the flow of chi, making it easier for energy to reach the home. Restaurants and hotels frequently use of this kind of illumination trying to draw customers to their establishments. Full-spectrum light is most effective. It contains the colors of the rainbow and positively influences the health of the people living in the home. Regular incandescent light bulbs, while not as effective, are also all right. Try to avoid fluorescent or neon lights and low-voltage halogen lamps, particularly in livmg rooms, bedrooms, children's rooms, and offices. They have a negative influence on people. Applications:
- In rooms with dark corners, to increase the flow of energy and reduce the risk of Chi stagnation there.
- The design of the living room should create an easy, relaxing atmosphere. Try to organize lights so that they enhance this; do not use bright lightings directly above your head - they may cause nausea or headaches.
- To counteract the oppressive effect of low, dark ceilings
- Position uplighters below beams to reduce the downward flow of Chi energy.
- In windowless places, use light to increase energy flow

- To illuminate an entrance to a business, to attract the attention of potential customers
