Feng Shui Systems
There are many Feng Shui Systems and which one should you use? Let's first start with the Black Hat Feng Shui System.
Black Hat Feng Shui System
The Black Hat Feng Shui System is more commonly used by the Westerners. It’s by far the easiest to understand of all the schools. It does not use the difficult-to-read compasses. Instead the main front door becomes the focus. It also uses items such as mirrors, crystals, flutes and mantra-chanting, mudra-special hand positions and intention to strengthen the adjustments made by the practitioner. To date, it has a huge, loyal following all over the world.
Eight Aspirations Method
The Eight Aspirations method is sometimes known as the Life Aspirations method. It requires you to use the compass to orient the position. It is based on the Eight Trigram. Each direction is associated with an aspect of life: Wealth, Fame, Knowledge, Family & Health, Marriage & Relationships, Children, Helpful People, Career. For example, south-west is the marriage & relationships location. You can activate each of the life aspirations by establishing which rooms corresponds to which aspiration.
Which Method to Use?
Each of these Feng Shui Systems has a huge followers of their own and each has a long list of success stories. As the late leader of China, Deng Xiaoping, once said "No matter if it is a white cat or a black cat; as long as it can catch mice, it is a good cat." Therefore, it is only right for us to introduce you to both the Black Hat System and the Eight Aspirations System here. Don't worry too much about which one to use or which is better. Choose one of them - for example, the Black Hat Method. Make some small changes and see the effects. After a while, when you are more familiar with it, you may want to explore other methods. Compare the results yourself. In Feng shui, we study the environment, buildings, and people, and how the qi of each interacts over time. It is not straight forward but it is definitely a fascinating practice.
