The Feng Shui of Hyatt Hotel, Singapore

The feng shui of Hyatt Hotel, Singapore is an excellent example of how feng shui cures can help to improve a business tremendously.

It appears that the hotel's business progressed tremendously after the consultation of a well-known geomancer.

Originally the entrance doors to the foyer were parallel to the main road. The cashier's desk was also parallel to the door and road.

According to geomantic theory, in such a situation wealth would flow out of the hotel easily. The undesirable spirits could also enter without difficulty as the doors faced northwest.

When the geomancer was called upon to improve the feng shui of the hotel, he recommended altering the main doors and had them built at an angle to the road as shown in the plan.

In this way wealth could be retained and the evil influences, if any, would be trapped at the awkward corners of the doors.

The geomancer also recommended the removal of the fountains directly in front of the hotel and had them replaced by flower beds.

A flag pole, also in front of the hotel, was removed to the fourth floor and two new fountains were built at auspicious places on either side of the main doors.

A Chinese boat to signify the "safe voyage" of the business venture was made and placed in the restaurant on the first floor.

Besides these minor alterations to improve the feng shui of the hotel, prayers were offered and the blessings of heaven and earth were called upon to bring prosperity and good business to the hotel management.
