Feng Shui Audit
A feng shui audit will show you why each property is truly unique.
Michael shifted to a new property and he had enjoyed good luck since then. He was promoted twice in 3 years. His children's attitude to study had improved and had done well in their schools. The recent posting required him to relocate to another state. Thinking that this house enjoyed good feng shui, Thomas bought over this property from Michael at a high price. Unfortunately, the property market slumped, Thomas sufferred a great loss.
Coincidence? May be, or may be not.
Scientifically speaking, there is no explanation. The feng shui audit, on the other hand, can give you some insight on the "unlucky" venture by Thomas.
Ok, let's get on to the basic. What are the major components in a feng shui audit?
The 4 major components in a feng shui audit
Time
First, the time a property is built is very critical. This is because age of a building reveals so many of its unseen influences.
Aside from the semi-permanent energy created at the time of construction, new energies can also enter a building when it is significantly remodeled. Also, changing yearly cycles (like having a guest in your home) will influence or trigger the permanent energies.
For example, if your home is inherently prone to having a fire, it will most likely happen in the year and month when there are added irritants to its vulnerable location.
We will go into greater detail about the aspect of time and the various house types from certain construction periods.
Orientation
The direction a building faces, using precise compass measurements, will also reveal a tremendous amount of insight into the personality of a building and how it affects the occupants.
So much of advanced feng shui is relevant to compass directions, only a fool would call himself a feng shui master who doesn't incorporate compass calculations into his or her analysis.
We will talk about how each direction can affect family members, relationships and health issues later.
Environment
Included in Form School feng shui is the study of how the total environment interacts with people-and animals (yes, animals are also affected by feng shui). As an example, if the energy in your bedroom indicates back pain and your pet sleeps there with you, it is possible for your pet to also experience back pain.
Environment includes the interior as well as the exterior, and both natural and man-made features. There is a difference in
having a hill behind your house or having a small pond or swimming pool. There is a difference between a metal sculpture situated in front of a building versus a large tree. Everything, living or supposedly dead, dormant or inanimate can have an effect on a person.
If you don't initially believe this, just consider how most of us are controlled by food.
People
The more subjective part of feng shui includes the personal component.
What may be a healthy and invigorating environment for one individual could be overly stimulating for a different type of person. Variables include a person's age, gender, lifestyle habits, occupation, marital status and personality. There are house types good for single people who want exciting love lives. However, the same house could be quite detrimental to a married couple. A building that attracts legal conflict could be ruinous for the average person, but a bonus for a law firm.
A comprehensive feng shui evaluation should examine the blending of influences in the four major categories of time, orientation, environment and people. Not considering all of these categories of influence reduces feng shui to generic at best. At its worst, feng shui has been ridiculed as being nothing more than an exercise in pseudo-spiritual interior decorating. Real feng shui is as real as gravity.
