Real Estate Feng Shui - Enhance the Career Area
Front and center in the Bagua is the Career area, the front and center of the home. This is the place to make enhancements to activate your career energy. We recommend that you set a small metal bowl or dish holding your business cards here. In most homes, this turns out to be near the front door. The bowl can be placed on a small entry table or on the first piece of furniture encountered in the room of first impression. The Career gua, or area, is also where a water element can really get things moving. A small desktop fountain, bubbling away, can welcome the buyer and get the chi for the sale of the home moving. Be sure, though, that the direction of the water flow is into the house, not toward the door. You want to bring money, luck, and the buyer in, not push them out. Water can be brought to this area symbolically if a water fountain is not feasible. Pictures of water (seascapes, lakes) or water animals (fish, frogs, water birds) can be used. Choose a dish for your business cards made of metal (metal produces water in Feng Shui), or one that is colored silver, black, or deep blue.
